Qin Lake Tourist Attraction is located in Lixiahe region in the middle of Jiangsu Province and is an eastern suburb of Taizhou city. It was open to the public in 2003. Since 2005, it has won the reputations such as the National AAAAA Tourist Attraction, National Wetland Park, National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot, National Intangible Cultural Heritage, National Popular Science Education Base and National Forestry Tourism Demonstration Area etc. The whole planned area covers 26 km2. There are abundant rivers and grasslands, where is a paradise of the Pere David’s deer, a rare animal since age of Teras.

Entrance Door
The design of the entrance door is unique with the shapes of five piled boats, standing for the China Jiangyan-Qintong Boat Festival would be held here annually. The design concept oriented from “Meeting friends through boat theme, and attracting investment through boat festival”.

Qin Lake
Qin Lake is also named as Magpie Lake and Pied Magpie Lake, which gains the name for there used to be “Many Pied Magpie Flying” in the old days. The Qin Lake is 1.4 km long from west to east and 1.5 km long from north to south, its shape is like the jade wearing, and its area is 2.1 square kilometers. If you step high to look around, you could find nine main rivers that connect the Lake areas from all sides, which forms the fantastic landscape of “Nine Dragon Going to the Royal Court”.

Sightseeing Ground for Boat Festival
The sightseeing ground for boat festival is a building with the shape of waved tableland, which could hold 5000 VIPs and 30000 tourists on the day of boat festival. The sightseeing ground consists of a performance stage, a starter’s tower and service facilities. Ancient Shousheng Temple
Buddhist culture has a long history in Qin Lake area. The most famous one is Ancient Shousheng Temple, which was established in Song Dynasty with a history of more than 700 years and has been the place for Medicine Buddha rites in the oriental pure glazed world. The Medicine Buddha Tower is 81 meters high with 3 36-meter-high copper statues,weighing over 500 tons. The faces of Medicine Buddha were coated with more than 2,000 g gold. 5 amazing colors will appear when you watch the statues from different viewpoints.

The center covers a 5700 square meters land area with total 50 million RMB investments, which serves as ecological exhibition, popularization education of science and ecological demonstration. Water Birds Park
The land area of this park is about 300-mu. Small areas are dotted around the water by landscape reconstruction and the dredging of water system, where the water birds are shown by isolated fences and nets. Meanwhile, diversified ecological environment is a favorable habitat for all kinds of birds with different habits. When walking on the pathways, trestles and platforms, the tourists can watch the different water birds closely from different viewpoints. Therefore, you could not only feel the natural charming in this park, but also could experience the diversified wetland ecology.

Pere David’s Deer Watching Area
Pere David’s deer is a rare and protected animal in the world, which is also called “Nondescript” for its horn looks like deer, face like horse, hoof like cow and body like donkey. It has lived on the earth for more than 3 million years and has been regarded as an auspicious symbol since the ancient times. It is said that the ancient legend premier Jiang Ziya, or called Jiang Taigong in Zhou Dynasty, rides the “Nondescript”.
