Qin Lake Tourist Attraction is located in Lixiahe region in the middle of Jiangsu Province and is an eastern suburb of Taizhou city. It was open to the public in 2003. Since 2005, it has won the reputations such as the National AAAAA Tourist Attraction, National Wetland Park, National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot, National Intangible Cultural Heritage, National Popular Science Education Base and National Forestry Tourism Demonstration Area etc. The whole planned area covers 26 km2. There are abundant rivers and grasslands, where is a paradise of the Pere David’s deer, a rare animal since age of Teras.

Bulrush
it is saline and flood tolerance, strong water absorbing ability and little requirement on water quality. Qin Lake wetland is very suitable for its growing. The fiber content in the haulm of bulrush is higher than 50% and is a good material for fiber industry, which could be used for papermaking and can take the place of the timber to make fiberboard for building and construction purpose. Moreover, the bulrush is wind proof and flood proof and it can improve the environment, purify the water quality, prevent the pollution, and regulate the ecological balance.

Cattail
Cattail is also called typhaangustifolia. It is a hardy plant with little requirement on growing condition. They can grow on any land merely rich in organic substance. It is a superior material for papermaking. They are eatable when they are tender, and could be made into cattail mat and cattail pillow etc.

Barracuda grass
Barracuda grass, also named North America Barracuda Grass, is a hygric herb. It is thermophilic, heliophilous, fertilizer loving, and hygrophilous, but afraid of wind and not hardy. It can grow both in the water areas with still water and sluggish flow water. The barracuda grass grows up fast and is of high reproducibility. Its leaf color is jade-green with charming colored flower and long florescence, which can be planted along both sides of watercourses and the four edges of pools.

Water shield
Water shield is a float grass in nymphaeaceae family. It was approved as the National Level I Key Protected Wild Plant by the State Council in 1999. They can be found easily in swamps and pools in southern parts of Yellow River, especially Taihu Lake Valley in Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province. Its fresh leaf under the water is eatable and is a special local dish.

Louisiana cypress
Louisiana cypress is also named bald cypress. Its trunk is round and straight, and it can grow up to 25 to 50 meters. In spring, its young shoot is green, and then turns into brown in autumn.
